At Aspire Continental School, Dharamshala, we treat reading as a strategic advantage. Our Central Library is a curated learning hub designed to build independent research habits and sustained reading discipline.
The library provides a balanced mix of print and digital resources—books, reference works, journals, periodicals, newspapers, e-books/e-journals, and vetted online databases—backed by filtered internet access and guided support to meet academic and general knowledge needs.
Class Library Access Time
I – III Classroom Library (In-Class)
IV – VIII Alternate Weeks (During Library Periods)
IX & XI Recess Time
Check books carefully before borrowing and report any damage to the librarian.
Students are responsible for lost or damaged books and must either:
Replace the book with the same or similar book,
Or pay double the cost of the book.
Books must be handled with care and respect at all times.
No eating or refreshments allowed.
No loud talking or group discussions.
Objectionable material, if found, should be reported to the librarian.
🕒 Books or resources on the waiting list will be held for a student for 3 working days. If not collected, they will be issued to the next student on the list.
Classes IV–VIII will receive books under teacher supervision during their library period.
Library Rules & Guidelines:
ID Card is Mandatory: Every student must carry their school ID card when visiting the library.
Personal Belongings: Should be kept in designated racks at the entrance.
Discipline: Maintain silence and discipline while in the library.
Reading & Reference Use: Use the library period for reading books, newspapers, magazines, or reference work only.
Book Issuing Rules:
One book per student at a time.
Issued for 2 weeks.
Can be renewed for 7 days, only if there is no demand for the same.
Book Return Policy:
Books must be returned 10 days before terminal exams and 15 days before annual exams.
Students who fail to return books will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
